Leonardo Micheli is a "Rita Levi Montalcini" Assistant Professor at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. In 2015, L. Micheli obtained a Ph.D. in renewable energy from the University of Exeter, UK, with a thesis on concentrator photovoltaics. His current research interests include the monitoring, the analysis and the prediction of photovoltaic performance and the optimization of loss mitigation strategies. After his PhD, he worked within the PV Performance and Reliability group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), USA, initially as visiting researcher and later as staff researcher. In 2018, he was awarded with a two-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie IF fellowship, conducted at the University of Jaén (Spain), in residence, as a postdoc, until February 2022. Since 2020, he is an expert for the IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (PVPS) task 13.
