Dr. Emre Demirezen received his Ph.D. degree from METU Earth System Science department in 2022. He worked on recent environmental issue caused by solar PV power plant installations and called "Photovoltaic Heat Island Effect". Prior to that, he first worked as an Optical Design and Environmental Test Engineer in a private defense sector in the Technopolis of Middle East Technical University (METU/ODTÜ). He is a researcher and engineer conducting the interdisciplinary Earth System Science studies on climate change and environmental modeling, land-atmosphere interactions, and renewable energy utilization technologies (primarily based on solar photovoltaic technologies). He worked as a research assistant in Middle East Technical University for 10 years during his postgraduate education. Between 2016-2022, he conducted several jobs and responsibilities, such as module technology and solar power plant installation, writing R&D project proposal, academic conference secretary, editorial board member in publication processes, and press & public relations in METU Center for Solar Energy Research and Applications (ODTÜ-GÜNAM).
